Dilvin is currently a Ph.D. student at NeuroBM Lab, Kadir Has University, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Önder. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey, in 2016. She worked on “GTP hydrolysis mechanism of Elongation Factor – Tu (EF-Tu)” during her Bachelor’s thesis. She also studied biochemistry and cell biology at Strasbourg University, France, for a year in 2013 as a part of the ERASMUS Exchange Program. She worked on “Identification of button head and even-skipped target genes and their role in cephalic furrow formation” as an intern at Heidelberg University, Centre for Organismal Studies (COS), Germany. She did an internship at Istanbul University, Institute of Experimental Medical Research (DETAE), Turkey, where she worked on “Mutation analysis on epilepsy-related genes”. She gained her Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bogazici University, Turkey, in 2019. In her Master’s thesis, she worked on “The involvement of Gab1 in Muller Cell Proliferation”. Her research interests include molecular and cellular biology of neurodegenerative diseases and neuropsychiatric disorders. She likes to read and travel around the world.
